2009 Member-Guest SharkFest Gallery

The 2009 Member-Guest was held October 15-17.  We had 35 teams participate in this year’s event.  We introduced a new format, playing five 9-hole matches within your flight.  The flight winners and Thursday’s winner then competed in the final shootout for the overall championship.  The event started with an 18 best ball tournament, with David Pearce and his guest Keith Clark winning Thursday’s event to become the first qualifiers for the shootout. 

That Thursday evening our participants enjoyed a cocktail party followed by dinner.  Shay, Chef Bryan, and their team did an incredible job with everything, and we had the perfect night to begin the event.

After the five matches were complete, we had our final shootout, starting on hole #14. It turned out to be an exciting finish, with the last two teams dueling it out on the 18th hole. Bill Hargraves and his nephew Brandon Hargraves were able to hold off Trey Howell and David Brown on the final hole to win the event.   It was an incredible comeback when Team Hargraves came on strong with two convincing victories in the last two matches of the final day.  This moved them from 6th in their flight, to winning the flight and eventually the entire event. We would like to thank all the members who participated and look forward to another great Member-Guest in 2010.
